There are 9 National Parks in Slovakia – Tatra´s National Park, Pieniny National Park, National Park – Low Tatras, Slovak Paradise, Slovak Carst, Muranska Table, Poloniny, Veľká Fatra and Malá Fatra.
The world historical heritage UNESCO includes also 5 slovak localities: town Banská Štiavnica and technical monuments in near surrounding, Spiš Castle, town Bardejov, traditional monuments and architecture in Vlkolínec in Liptov region, caves of the Slovak Carst and Dobšinska Ice Cave with cave system Agtellek in Hungary.
From more than 20 spas are the most famous in Piešťany, Trenčianske Teplice, Bardejov, Dudince and Rajecké Teplice. It has its own clientele from the countries outside the Europe, mostly Israel, Kuwait and UAE.
Active holiday may be spent all around the Slovakia during the summer, forests are ideal for a walk. In last years the forest paths becomes more popular between the cyclists. For the lovers of bathing are the lakes are man-maid bays destined together with thermal springs. Remarkable interesting are thermal spas in a South Slovakia, and also the new water parks with attractions in Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad and Senec. The new water parks will be coming soon.
Mountains are inviting the mountaineers, paraglidists etc. and the rivers under Tatras are famous between rafters. Recreational tennis and golf (18 hole golf links in a wonderful surrounding of Tale, 9 hole in Bernolákovo near Bratislava, Piešťany, High Tatras, Košice).
During the winter is the skiing on the top of the sports, downhill above all. In Slovakia you can find more then 320 ski resorts with more than 1000 cableways, that are getting modern quickly.
